Eudocia, with Michael VII and Constantius, 1067. Seal (Lead, 34 mm, 32.32 g, 12 h). ЄMMA - NO[VHΛ] - IC - XC Christ seated facing on a backless throne, wearing cross-nimbus, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left. Rev. ЄVΔOK - MIX, - S KⲰN-CT - R,P, Eudocia standing facing, holding trefoil sceptre; on the left, Michael VII, holding globus cruciger and akakia, and on the right, Constantius holding labarum and globus cruciger, all wearing crown with pendilia and loros. DO Seals 81. Zacos/Veglery 91. A wonderfully preserved and rare imperial seal type that was used for only eight months in 1067. Minor scrapes, otherwise, good very fine.

This seal was in use during the short timeframe between the death of Constantine X in May 1067 and the accession of Romanus IV on 1 January 1068
